Conservation Education

NH NRCS, in partnership with the ten County Conservation Districts and two Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Councils in the State, provides outreach and education services to schools and a variety of other organizations. Educating both children and adults about the value of conservation is one of our primary goals.

NRCS personnel assist our partners with outreach activities like:

• Outdoor classrooms and events
• Fairs and demonstrations
• The New Hampshire Envirothon
• School-to-Farm

• The National Soil Survey Center Education Website is a resource for soil science education at all levels.
• The New Hampshire Agriculture in the Classroom website has a list of resources available to teachers on loan so they can teach their classes the value of agriculture in New Hampshire.
