Farm Bill Programs

If you own or manage farm or forest land, or grow specialty crops in New Hampshire, then the 2008 Farm Bill conservation programs can help you address natural resource concerns and opportunities on your land.

  • Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) - AMA helps producers manage risk and voluntarily address issues such as water management, water quality, and erosion control by incorporating conservation practices into their farming operations.
  • Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) - CSP rewards farmers who are good conservation stewards of their land, and offers compensation for enhancements.
  • Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) - EQIP helps promote farm and forest conservation by enhancing the environmental quality of soil, water, air, plants and animals.
  • Farm & Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) - FRPP helps land conservation-focused partners assist farmers in keeping their land in agriculture through the purchase of development rights.
  • Grassland Protection Program (GRP) - GRP offers compensation for landowners to protect, restore and enhance grasslands.
  • Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) - WRP promotes the protection and restoration of wetlands through the purchase of easements and enhancement activities.
