 2006 NH CSP Watershed Selections

 

Upper Androscoggin River

The Upper Androscoggin has a total estimated area of 6,663 acres and lies within Coos County, with the majority of the watershed crossing into the State of Maine. A total of 43 farms are reported with having a majority of the land cover being forested. Other acreage comprises of corn, vegetables, dairy and beef cattle.

Lower Androscoggin River

The Lower Androscoggin has a total estimate area of 12,521 acres and lies within Coos & Carroll Counties, with the majority of the watershed crossing into Maine.  A total of 18 NH farms are within the watershed, with primary forested land cover.
